This old building… 1997
Using the "Way Back" machine...

The current owners took control of this property in 1997 - and renovated it into 27 units. New plumbing.  New Electrical.  New layout. All apartments are "Singles".  They each have their own full bathroom.  They each nave their own electrical meter.   Small counters for minimalist cooking inside each unit too!

This was a significant undertaking.  And we worked with the city to make it the best solution for housing the most people possible given the space constraints.  Some units were set asides for Low income too.

The redevelopment was a success and the ability to give new people a safe and secure place to stay is a Win Win Win as far as we see it.  A win for the new residents.  A win for the owners who invested heavily in the reconstruction. And a Win for the city that got more housing for more people that works in a much better way.

The old original construction may have worked for the nuns but modern housing no longer works well with many folks sharing a community bathroom way down the hallway.

 Sincerely, Keith Lambert
